After working on national accounts including The Home Depot and Chick-fil-A for The Richards Group, Mark, a graduate of the University of Texas, relocated to Austin creating ads for high-tech clients such as Micron Computers and Honeywell. There he worked extensively in print, television, and direct-response marketing, and on the weekends, his golf swing.

After earning many creative honors, including numerous ADDY awards and being featured in two industry publications, Creative Magazine and Print Magazine’s Design Annual, Mark believed there was still a better way to run a successful advertising agency and do great work. With that, Third Rail Creative was born.

As the firm's true tactical and strategic thinker, he possesses the sharp and keen ability to provide original solutions due to his unique ability to understand and define the client's areas of strength and niche positioning, as well as proven methods to promote and build areas of growth. Jimmy, a Texas Tech University graduate, most recently served as Director for Online Marketing with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. where he was responsible for the online channel including website strategy and management, online media buying, search engine marketing, as well as creative development. Among the numerous recognition awards over the years, Jimmy has received several Excellence in Service Awards, as recently as 2005, being honored by Charles Schwab.

Having worked with both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies, Third Rail Principal Steve Garven is well versed at aligning client goals with the temperament of the marketplace. Steve brings twenty years of marketing, business development and operational experience to Third Rail. Prior to joining Third Rail, Steve was a Principal at Door Number 3, Inc. and was an integral part in bringing respected clients to the firm including the W Hotel + Residences, Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, Dallas/Fort Worth Area Tourism Council and Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. In addition, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Bam Advertising, Inc., whose global clients included Honeywell, Georgia-Pacific, Micron and Logitech. He holds his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a M.B.A. from Baylor University. Steve is active in the community, including serving on the Board of the Austin Humane Society.
